Today could go either direction for me was how I felt on the drive over to my step brother Tru Light trap. Up to this moment I been Deuce your average Joe working barely getting by job focusing on a dream that was close to be completely accomplished. And above all a law abiding citizen who had a bad run in with the laws. I knew once I went through the door wasn’t no turning back or changing my mind when the conversation started. I had to be committed because I knew once I start I might end up in too deep. I was at the end of the block thinking of how I needed to let my next move be my best move. Starting wondering was this whole rapping thing really worth it to be doing this and would the end justify the means? If the urge to hit a line, smoke a cigarette or drink ever was strong it was nothing compared to now. Suddenly my hands started twitching in each finger like I was making a beat and I swear I felt all the sensations of all my old habits hit me at once. Right now I see wasn’t the best time to be ignorant so I pulled out my cell phone and dialed the first number that came to mind. A whispered voice came over the other end. “Hi baby what’s up? You alright?” “Yeah…no I’m just tripping right now and just wanted to ask you two things.” “What wrong baby you starting to scare me?” “If I go to jail tomorrow should I expect you to ride with me or expect to do my time alone again?” “What the fucks wrong? Whatever you about to do don’t?” She was screaming into the phone now so I had to hold it way from my ear. “Please baby don’t leave out here alone.” “Tootie I need to know right now!” I didn’t expect to yell at her I just was so heated and confused. And I didn’t like to be because it threw me off point. “Blair I love you more than life and if you left me for a day and I couldn’t hold you when I wanted it would kill me.” I could hear he crying now. “And if you locked up I’ll be locked up too after I kick your black ass for doing something and I’m telling you not to do it.” “You know what I’ll do to you if you standing in the way of my money.” I didn’t give her a chance to answer. “Say Tootie I’m telling you real talk if you playing with me you better leave now and found somewhere to hide.” “Who the fuck you think you talking to like that?” I heard her grunting like she was moving or something. “Where the fuck you at I’m coming to you. I don’t know what’s wrong with you and what you got going on but you got me fucked up.
